Per Town of Erwin Public Works Director Mark Lafever, all water and sewer work is complete. Progression Electric is finishing up on conduit installation. Summers-Taylor has started grade work in front of the courthouse and will continue toward Tucker Street. Curb installation is planned for next week, followed by concrete and brick paver work. Construction crews are finishing storm drain installation and sewer laterals, as well as tying in all roof drains from Tucker Street to Gay Street. Progress in continuing on electrical conduit. We are closely approaching complete shutdown of Tucker and First Streets.
Per Mark Lafever, Town of Erwin Public Works Director, due to unforeseen utility problem that occurred, Tucker Street will be closed the rest of this evening and should reopen tomorrow, June 11.
